UPDATES

  • PCSK celebrated 50 years of operation

  • After 31 years, the condenser for the walk-in freezer was moved to the roof.  This was necessary as the heat in the dry room led to exploding canned goods and hotter temps on the freezer. Thank you, King of Kings Lutheran Church, for making this happen with Royal Electric.

  • Awarded: Care and Share Microgrant: This generous award will allow us to have more refrigeration and food storage (replacing some equipment after 25 years).

  • Volunteer Picnic: 57 volunteers attended.

  • Thank you to Fellowship of the Rockies, Serve 6-8, Mercy Chef and World Kitchen for their generous excess food donations to us after feeding fire evacuees and first responders.

  • Thank you to the youth groups, church groups and businesses that have provided hours of volunteer service to the SOUP. We couldn’t do it without you…

  • Thank you to our 3 friends from Pueblo Diversified Industries who help us every Wednesday

  • Watch for a listing of our “Everyday Heroes” that help us feed folks through food rescue here in Pueblo.

  • Upcoming: Veterinarian Mobile Clinc-9/2/26.

  • Holiday meals: Thanksgiving-11/25/26 (day before), Christmas 12/25/26 pop-up outside (partner with One Way Street Ministry)

New program: “Good Neighbor” PCSK and friends from the streets will clean-up the downtown area weekly starting mid-August.

Thank you to all of our generous donors and funders who help us keep the plates full and the doors open to all in need of nourishment and HOPE!

Souper Walk SUCCESS!!! Final report next quarter. Thank you to all of our sponsors, donors, participants and our Board of Directors for their tireless work to make this a success!
